Gosh, Argentina is Cold in Winter!

Saturday, September 17th, 2011

I am looking outside at this plant on the balcony and notice there are no flowers on it. I expect this because it is still winter here in Buenos Aires, Argentina so I was not expecting flowers right now, but it does make me think of the upcoming spring season. I can already tell the certain flowers and trees are blooming and look much better than they did before.

I want to get out of the city during the spring and see what the country is like during this time of year. I imagine it looks beautiful with the grass growing and the mountainsides of the Andes less rocky. This far south is different than what I imagined South America would feel and look like. I always pictured the jungles and beaches of Brazil so the cold of winter really shocked me. I remember stepping outside the airport and realizing I was not prepared for this level of cold weather. Now that spring is coming up I still want to make a trip up north but I hear the far north can get real hot and humid, even if I go early in the spring.

Iguazzu Falls is one of the last trips I need to make before I leave and I also hear the weather can be really hot and rainy during this time of year. Either way I need to see Iguazzu! After looking at pictures it is one of the spots down here that I need to get to before I leave. I have limited amount of spending funds so I am trying to use my money in the best way possible and not just for parties on the weekend.

While I am here I want to make the most of the time and see as much as I can. I work with a wine company and we host some of Buenos Aires’ best wine tastings. While working here I have seen a good amount of the city from walking around and I enjoy that. I tried a wine tasting here and it happens to be my favorite wine tasting of all time. If you are travelling to Buenos Aires, Argentina I would try a wine tasting.

When a Micro Brewery is Your Dream

Thursday, June 30th, 2011

It all started out as a simple hobby for you. You were in college and a few of your fraternity buddies and you started making your own beer. It was not the best beer, but it felt really cool to tell people that you made it yourself. In time you adjusted your ingredients and your style of making it and your beer has become quite the sensation. Then about five years ago you had a crazy notion that you would like to open up your own little microbrewery and bar. It was five years of saving and planning, but here you are now and you are working on getting one finally opened up. Now you will have to come up with some kind of a name for your beers and invest in a labeling machine so that you can be able to get your beer bottled and sell it in your bar. This is definitely a dream come true and you can not wait for opening day.

Reasons to Buy a Commercial Ice Machine Online

Thursday, June 9th, 2011

If you’re in the market for a new commercial ice machine, there are a lot of places you can buy these. Online shopping is going to be the best way to shop, since there are so many online stores you can shop with. This means you can easily compare prices for different models between different stores in just minutes, which is something you can’t really do when shopping in person. There might not even be a retail store you can visit in person that is close to where your restaurant is. Another reason online shopping is better is because most retailers will offer you free shipping. This will save you a lot of stress from shopping in person, especially if you don’t have a big truck or a bunch of people willing to help you move. If you want some more simplicity, then shopping online is going to be much easier and will save you time.

Advantages of Portable Ice Machine

Thursday, February 24th, 2011

There are many advantages of having a portable ice machine in a bar or at home. You are guaranteed freshly made ice cubes in a matter of minutes or seconds. People as much as find it fun to freeze up their own ice cubes, ice machines make it that much more efficient, with some machines producing as much as 10kg of ice per hour. Usually, Bars and pubs all use ice machines on a daily basis. It is important for fast serving and keeping up with the demands of the customers that the machines keep on churning out ice constantly throughout the day without problems. Thus machine maintenance is another thing to consider when installing them. To buy bags of ice is simply not a convenient way of stocking up on ice cubes, because this does not guarantee that the number of bags you have in stock is going to be enough for the entire evening. So these machines are not just useful for bars and restaurants because people at home are also able to benefit from using these.

Relaxing While Watching Basketball

Friday, August 27th, 2010

Right now, I have decided to relax from work and watch me some television. I have not watched television in awhile so I do not know all of the popular shows on TV now. But while browsing and turning the TV channels, I came across some basketball. It was the USA basketball team versus the Greece basketball team. The game looked pretty interesting, and since I am a fan of basketball, I decided to check it out. So here I am, sitting down, watching the game, and drinking some gourmet coffee to relax for a little bit. All of a sudden my phone rings and it is one of my friends that I try to avoid at times. My friend is always going through some sort of problem and it can just be draining trying to help him out with his issues. So I decided to just let the phone ring because I did not want to spoil the moment.
