I Am Referring to Online Guitar Lessons

They have become more and more popular with the younger crowd, I am referring to online guitar lessons. And while I do not take them personally, I have two of my friends that have their children taking them. They both love them and have made great advancements while taking them as well. They seem to be much more effective than having them go to actual lessons in person. That was not only very expensive it was very ineffective because not everyone learned on a physical one on one relationship. IO know for a fat, I don’t. And I was relieved when my friends decided to use this program instead of having a tutor come to their homes or vice versa. I would never think of having a tutor come to my home now days, there are to many crazy people out there and you can never be to careful especially when it comes to your children.

Willie Hugh Nelson was born on the 30th of April 1933 in Abbott, Texas, USA. He was brought up by his grandparents after his mother left shortly after his birth and his father had remarried and moved away. At six years old, his grandfather bought him a guitar and encouraged him to play.

Nelson has been married 4 times and had 7 children, though his real love affair has been with marijuana, for which he has been arrested for on several occasions.

In today’s generation if you ask most of the people to explain exactly what rap is, they will most likely say that it is the recitation of poems to the beat of music. This type of emotional expression has roots that are buried deeply in the African culture’s oral tradition that they passed down from generation to generation. Each generation has added their own style until finally Hip Hop History was made. Most of the modern rap styles that we hear commonly today take their roots from the dub talk in reggae music that was so popular in the late 60s and early 70s. In the 70s a well known Jamaican DJ, who was called Kool Her, moved from his homeland to the New York City West Bronx. This is where he started saying completely improvised rhymes over his dub records. People were not into reggae really during this time and so he adapted the reciting word style over percussion instruments that were used in more popular songs and rapping soon took off.

I had to find a DJ to run the music in an event I was hired to plan. I was in charge of the activities. The activities I had to plan for the event were music, games, and raffle. Tight Timescale for Space Music Gig

It is a really good job that new synthesizer is under warranty because within the first two weeks of purchase it has decided to pretty much die on me and for some reason only half of the keys on it will work. This is a real pain in the backside because I need this to record music for my up and coming space music gig and I am going to lose several days as the faulty synth will have to be picked up and taken back and a new one delivered. There is only so much work that I can do on my old machines and it makes it all the more harder to get things done exactly how you want them to be when you are on a really tight time scale. The gig is a big one and there are going to be several thousand people there so I can’t afford to mess anything up by going into it unprepared.

One interesting job that involves music is someone who makes production music. Every movie that is made needs to have royalty free music. If you create production music you can make a lot of money and still do what you love; make music. As long as the film industry does not stop making films; and it does not seem like it will ever end, there will be a need for production music and the people you make it.

Rock Concerts, Denver Style

The face of rock and roll, classic 80′s rock and roll that is… is changing in Denver! And not a day to soon. Lately, in Denver, there has been an awakening of the rock venue and it’s looking really good on the concerts that focus on the 80′s rock stars like Lynch Mob, Black and Blue, Stryper and more… The main reason is that a new company has moved into the area and they take promoting rock shows very seriously. From the quality of the bands to the quality of the venue, the class of crowd, ticket sales and on and on. David B Productions, run by Dave Stremel and Alan Currens, has been launched in 2010 and it has elevated the game to new heights. There are some really sad little booking agents at classic venues like the Grizzly Rose (and others). That have been under-promoting great bands for a long time and really skating by on lazy bar-owner tactics. As they are now learning, having a monopoly isn’t enough, you have to treat bands and fans better than that. But as fate and karma would have it, clubs that suck at promoting are LOOSING the battle to really energetic and proud promoters like Stremel and Currens. So goodbye crap gigs, and hello kick-ass rock concerts!

Local Music School: Good or Bad?

Are you getting frustrated with your music schools guitar course? Most of these local guitar schools are highly commercialized and rarely look at guitar students as artists but rather as their paychecks. Some of these instructors are very talented guitar players but when they are doing 7 to 8 1 hour sessions a day, the quality of the lessons is definitely questionable. So before signing up for any guitar lessons do your research on your area. There is bound to be several music schools. And when you do find one that you like, ask to sit in on one of the classes before signing up. Some schools even have free sessions just to give you a feel of the instructor. Since you will be spending hours with this instructor it is important for you to have a bond and feel comfortable with him or her. Don’t forget that guitar playing is supposed to be fun.

The Life Altering Acoustic Guitar

If I had to choose my favorite musical instrument, I’d have to pick the acoustic guitar. It wasn’t always like this. For a time I favored the harmonica, and before that I was a big fan of the triangle. Now before you scoff away in hilarious laughter, hear me out. Or read me out. The triangle is one of the most underrated instruments in the world. It’s versatility is unmatched by others. It’s portable, light, and can even be used as a ninja weapon. But when I took my first acoustic guitar lesson, I was finished. I put away my triangle and my harmonica for good. Now, all I play is the acoustic guitar. Street corners, bars, parties. If there’s music to be played, I’m the one playing it. In fact, I get enough money in tips so that I was able to quit my job years ago. Now I live in a mansion in Beverly Hills. All from playing the guitar. This is truly the instrument from the heavens. Of course, others may feel differently, and that’s fantastic. That’s what makes the world go around and around.
